Funeral services for Paul G. MacDonald, 58, were held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 24, at Wilson Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Donald Forbes. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. MacDonald died Friday morning at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for one day. He is survived by his wife, one son Jerry P. MacDonald of Des Moines and one daughter, Mrs. Carl Reiher of West St. Paul, Minn., and one grandchild.

He had been employed at Boone Valley Cooperative Processing for many years and was a lead man foreman. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Paul G. MacDonald was born July 27, 1914 to parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles MacDonald at Lake City, Ia. He was graduated from East High School in Des Moines and on April 30, 1939 was married to Margaret Newcomb of Eagle Grove in Des Moines. They had made their home in Eagle Grove for 28 years and he was employed at Boone Valley Cooperative as lead man foreman of the Soy Division.

Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald became the parents of one son, Jerry P. and one daughter, Mrs. Carl Reiher. He is survived by his wife, the son and daughter, one grandchild, one brother, Hubert MacDonald, one sister, Mrs. A. W. John, both of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
