Mrs. Boylson Passes Away Saturday A. M.

Funeral Services Were Held Tuesday Afternoon In Local Congregational Church.

Mrs. Margaret Boylson passed away in her sleep Saturday morning. She was discovered unconscious in her bed around 8:30 by her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Cotton, with whom she made her home. A doctor was called and on his arrival, found Mrs. Boylson had passed on. She was up and around as usual Friday, the day preceding her death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, April 10 at the Congregational church, in charge of the pastor Rev. Loyal M. Wilkinson. Music was furnished by Mrs. Thos. Benedict, Mrs. M. E. MacNaughton, Mrs. R. W. Gibson and Mrs. D. Van Nimwegen, Patricia Boughton was organist.

Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth Ray, was born October 11, 1869 to parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ray at Livermore, Iowa, and died Saturday morning, April 7, at her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

She spent her girlhood days in the vicinity of Livermore, Iowa, where in 1886 she was united in marriage to Harry Bandy. Two daughters were born to this union, Fannie (Mrs. Fred Cotton) and Vina (Mrs. Frank Hall). The family lived for six years in Iowa Falls and in 1892 Mr. Bandy died. In the spring of 1898, Mrs. Bandy and her two daughters came to Eagle Grove to make their home with the former's brother, Chas. Ray, who was then employed at Probert's Hardware Store.

On June 7, 1917, Mrs. Bandy was united in marriage with William Boylson of this city, in Des Moines, Iowa. They made their home here, until Feb. 2, 1926, when Mr. Boylson was taken in death. Mrs. Boylson and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cotton have since resided together.

Mrs. Boylson was a member of the Congregational church, where she was Life Deaconess. She was a charter member of the Fidelity Bible Class, and also belonged the Order of Eastern Star and the Royal Neighbors.

Mrs. Boylson was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mrs. Leta Vanetta [Vannatta], Mrs. Cora Tucker and Mrs. Sue Dillon. She is survived by her two daughters, one sister, Mrs. J. H. Howell of this city, and three brothers, Fred Ray of Portland, Ore., Chas. Ray of Watertown, S. D., and Allan Ray of St. Joseph, Mo., also two granddaughters, Mrs. Roger Berry, of Davenport, and Mrs. Russell Buck, of Chicago, Ill., and three great-grandchildren, Scott Berry, Russell and Susan Buck.
