William Boylson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Boylson was born in Waverly, Iowa, on June 5, 1857. Here he received his education in the public schools. When he was a young man he went to work for the Illinois Central railroad. Later he began work with the Northwestern railroad and moved to Eagle Grove thirty-nine years ago. Most of the time since then he has made his home here. He was advanced by the Northwestern until he became a conductor, which position he was filling at the time he retired. A little over two years ago he retired on account of failing health.

Mr. Boylson was united in marriage with Miss Jessie Spears of Iowa Falls, Iowa, in the month of June, 1889. For a short time they made their home in Des Moines and then moved back to Eagle Grove. One little boy came to stay for four short years in this home and then passed to his home above. The mother followed him Dec. 24, 1913.

On June 2, 1917, Mr. Boylson was united in marriage with Mrs. Margaret Bandy.

For the past three years Mr. Boylson has been failing in health, but he was always cheerful and had something pleasant to say to all who visited him. He was called home at 9:30 p.m., Feb. 2, 1926.

With a host of warm friends who will miss him, he also leaves his wife, two brothers, James L. Boylson of Benson, Minn., and George J. Boylson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Anhalt of Waverly, Iowa, and Mrs. Anna Cronin of Des Moines, Iowa.
