Margaret Ruth Nervig, the daughter of Severt and Martha Larson Nervig, was born on March 9, 1908, in Troy Township, Wright County near Eagle Grove, Iowa. She departed this life, early Wednesday morning, November 26, 1980, at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She attained the age of 72 years, 8 months and 17
days.

She attended the Troy Township rural schools and graduated from the Eagle Grove High School. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. During her life, she lived and farmed with her parents and brothers in Troy Township near Eagle Grove. In 1963, she and her brother, Gerald, retired from farming and moved to Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eagle Grove and the Miriam Circle of the ALCW.

She is survived by two brothers, Gerald of Eagle Grove and Arthur of Lafayette, Col. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Harriett, and a brother, Orville.

Funeral services for Miss Margaret R. Nervig were held on Saturday, Nov. 29, 1980, at 2 p.m. at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Marvin A. Berkeland, church pastor, officiated and the burial was in the family lot at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
