FRANCIS (BOOTS) BROWN
Funeral services for Francis (Boots) Brown, 55, [35] were held on Friday, Nov. 21, 1960 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Arizona City. He was a former area resident and died at his home in Arizona City, Ariz., on Monday evening. Cole and Maud Mortuary of Casa Grande, Ariz., were in charge of the arrangements.

Brown, a former Vincent area farmer and Fort Dodge resident is survived by his wife, Betty, and three daughters, Carolyn, Mrs. Ed Brock, Cathy, Mrs. Charley Wheeler, and Rosanne, Mrs. Bill Goodwill, and a son Jeff at home and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown of the Vincent area, and by an infant son.

Francis Brown graduated from the Eagle Grove high school in 1942. He started farming at that time and farmed until 1959 in the Vincent area. Brown was united in marriage to Betty Conlon of Fort Dodge in 1947. He moved to Fort Dodge where he worked at the former Atomite gas station. Late in 1961 he moved to Arizona for his health. He worked for the city of Arizona City and was fire chief until his retirement in 1974.

He had suffered a stroke seven weeks ago. His death was attributed to a sudden heart attack. The Brown home address in Arizona is P.O. Box 2348, Arizona City, Ariz. 85223.
