Death Notice

Dorothy Reider, 83, Eagle Grove, died Monday, June 24, at Trinity Regional Hospital. Services are pending at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove.

Dorothy Agnes Kulas was born August 13, 1907, at Tama, the daughter of Albert and Anna Tomasek Kulas.

She graduated from Tama High School and St. Luke's School of Nursing, Chicago, Ill., and practiced her profession for a few years in Chicago.

She was united in marriage to John Reider of Eagle Grove August 14, 1931, at Tama. They made their home in California a few years, before returning to Eagle Grove.

Mr. Reider practiced law for a time before being employed by the U.S. Post Office. He served as Postmaster before his death in 1979. Mrs. Reider maintained her home in Eagle Grove after his death.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove.

Dorothy Reider, died June 24, 1991, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 11 days, at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, following surgery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, August, and sisters, Mary Kauble and Alice Kulas.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Desmond (Suzanne) Collins, Toronto, Canada; three grandchildren, Katherine, Matthew, and Peter; and a sister, Anna Mae Boyle, Iowa City.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27 at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

The Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, were in charge of arrangements.
