Gerhard Tegland Died Saturday
Gerhard I. Tegland, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Tegland, died at his parents home in Eagle Grove on Saturday, Jan. 4. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 7 at St. Olaf Lutheran church near Belmond, Ia. Rev. B. Guldseth of Belmond and Rev. T. J. Severtson of Eagle Grove officiated.He was born near Clarion, Iowa, Sept. 1, 1893, and lived his entire life there on his father's farm. He attended Waldorf Lutheran college at Forest City. For several years he has been suffering from diabetes and cancer. On Feb. 26, 1925, he married Miss Hazel Tendall of Beimond.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, Donna Mae, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Tegland of Eagle Grove, a brother Otto J. Tegland in Clarion, and six sisters, Mrs. M. E. Benson of Northfield, Minn., Mrs. R. C. Bjelland, Kenyon, Minn., Mrs. S. M.
Lewis, Willmar, Minn., Mrs. W. J. Miller, Mrs. A. R. Bjerre and Mrs. J. W. Burress all of Minneapolis, Minn.Eagle Grove Eagle --- Eagle Grove, Iowa
