Funeral services for Dr. H. G. Riley, 73, were held Tuesday in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church with pastors H. W. Schiller and W. E. Carlson officiating.
Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Dr. Riley had been retired and in ill health for the past 2½ years, but his death early Sunday morning, November 24, was sudden and unexpected. He had coffee and visited with friends Saturday morning.

Dr. Riley came to Eagle Grove in the summer of 1921 and opened his dental office carrying on his practice here until he retired in the spring of 1966 following a heart attack and stroke.

During his earlier years in Eagle Grove he was very active in community affairs serving in the Chamber of Commerce and in dental society programs.

He was married to Sadie Olson of Norway township, Wright county in Waterloo on September 21, 1920. His wife survives him.

He is also survived by one son, Roger, and two grandchildren, Richard and Nancy of Des Moines and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Smith and Mrs. Lester Kaufman both of Iowa Falls.
