Kenneth Rieken was born May 13, 1914, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, and attended school in Cushing and Chambers, Neb. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and entered the U. S. Army in July of 1942, where he served three and a half years in the Pacific Theater. He worked at various jobs in and around Eagle Grove, the last being with the City of Eagle Grove. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Eagle Grove.

Kenneth D. Rieken died Monday. May 20, 1996, at the Clarion Care Center, Clarion, Iowa.

Survivors include two sisters, Doris Lee, Seattle, Wash., and Dorothy Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo. and two brothers, Edwin of Harcourt, Iowa, and Marvin of Snohomish, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an older brother, Oral, and a younger sister, Alice.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 1996, at Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
