Elizabeth Hazel Culmer

Elizabeth Hazel Neff was born May 6, 1907, in Farley, Iowa. She worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell, retiring in the mid 1960s. She married Clifford Culmer on June 24, 1931, at Webster City, Iowa. They moved to Rogue Valley in 1931 from Iowa. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Ashland, Oregon. She was a member of the Upper Valley Community Club in Ashland, and the Lady Elks.

Elizabeth H. Culmer died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford, Oregon at the age of 92. She is survived by two sons, Charles Neff Culmer, Ashland, Oregon, and Clifford "Pat" Culmer, Medford, Oregon; one daughter, Carita Marie Culmer, Phoenix, Arizona; 8 grandchildren; and 9 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Culmer; and two sisters; and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial graveside services and burial were held at Mountain View Cemetery in Ashland, Oregon, on Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at 2 p.m., with Father Brenden McAnerney officiating. Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford, Oregon, were in charge of arrangements.
