Dorothy Boyer, 87, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services were held Friday, April 9, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Smith officiating. Interment was held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Dorothy [Harrison] was born July 27, 1916, in Minburn. She graduated from Washington Township School in 1934. On February 12, 1936, she married Frank Boyer. She lived in Perry, Renwick, and Eagle Grove before moving to Fort Dodge in 1997. She did various jobs throughout her life, most recently she worked at Fazoli's offering customers breadsticks. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church, shopping, and visiting with friends and family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Charles and Chris Boyer of Eagle Grove and Gloria and Larry Gilley of Floyd Knob, Ind.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her sister, Ruth Kirkman, of Perry; her sister-in-law, Fern Harrison, of Minburn; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1999; her parents, Richard and Maggie (Booth) Harrison, and her brothers, Ralph, Harold, Paul, and Dale. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Fort Dodge was in charge of the arrangements.
