Frank O. Boyer was born January 21, 1915, at Redfield, Iowa, to Oscar and Mabel Beasley Boyer. He graduated from Washington Township School near Minburn, Iowa, in 1934. On February 12, 1936, he married Dorothy Mae Harrison at Perry, Iowa. The couple farmed near Perry until 1956. They then lived in Renwick, Iowa, until 1966 and later moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa, where they lived until 1997 when the couple moved to Fort Dodge. He was employed at Umthun Trucking Company in Eagle Grove for 28 years where he was a truck driver. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church.

Frank O. Boyer died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Charles M. Boyer, Eagle Grove; one daughter, Gloria Gilley, of Indiana; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Hazel Wicks, Adel, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 15, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. at the Harvest Baptist Church in Fort Dodge with the Reverend Marvin Smith officiating. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
