ANNA MARIE NODLAND
Anna Marie Walker was born on October 17, 1891, on the family farm northwest of Clarion, Iowa. Her parents were Andrew and Malinda Olson Walker. She attended school in Lake Township and Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa. She was the oldest living alumni. On March 17, 1915, she was united in marriage with Arthur T. Nodland at Eagle Grove, Iowa. In 1937, they moved back to the family farm where she cared for her parents until their death. This was the home where she presently resided.

She was the first baby baptized in the North Prairie Lutheran Church in Holmes and was later confirmed there. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Clarion, where she belonged to the Ruth Circle, the Clarion Navy Mother's Club #122 and the Friendly Neighbor Club.

Anna Marie Nodland died Friday, July 16, 1999, at her home at the age of 107. She is survived by two sons, Archie of Clarion, and Burdette and wife, Darlene, Ankeny, Iowa; five grandchildren; sixteen greatgrandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, in 1950; and her brother, Chris Walker.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 19, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Clarion with Reverend Gary Boen officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Clarion was in charge of arrangements.

CLARION - Anna Marie Nodland, 107, died Friday (July 16, 1999) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Gary Boen officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.
