December 3, 1897 --- March 18, 1966

Mrs. Oved Watson, 68, died Friday morning in the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. She had been hospitalized since Feb. 13th and her death was not unexpected.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Baptist Church in charge ot Rev. Arthur Anderson. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Delos Rogness of Estherville; Mrs. Glen McCaulley and one son Tommy Watson of Eagle Grove. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two sisters Mrs. Glen Baker of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Richard Knutson of Webster City.

Mrs, Watson was the former Tressa Fisher, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Fisher. She was married to Oved Watson on Mar. 12, 1918 in Eagle Grove and had been a resident here all of her life time. She belonged to the Baptist Church, and was an active member of the Mission Society and all branches of the church.

Obituary

Tressa Valeata Fisher was born on December 3, 1897 at Eagle Grove, Iowa to Alonzo and Della Mae Fisher. She passed away on March 18, 1966 at the Clarion Community Hospital. She was united in marriage to Oved Watson on March 12, 1918 and lived near Eagle Grove where she and her husband were engaged in farming until moving to town in 1949.

Mrs. Watson was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove where she was baptized and served faithfully for many years. She loved the church and was always ready to extend her services for its activities and ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Oved Watson; two daughters, Mrs. Del Rogness (Eileen) of Estherville, Iowa and Mrs. Glen McCaulley (Bette) of Eagle Grove, one son, Tommy Watson of Eagle Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Glen Baker of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Richard Knutson of Webster City; nine grandchildren also survive, Her parents and one brother, Norman Fisher, preceded her in death. Besides her family and loved ones she leaves a host of friends who cherish and respect her memory.
