Lulu Belle Baker, the daughter of Lon and Delia Griffith Fisher, was born at Eagle Grove, Iowa, on May 29, 1892. She died at the Clarion Community Hospital, in Clarion, Iowa, on Sunday night, October 19, 1980, at the age of 88 years, four months and 20 days.

She attended the Wright County rural schools and the Eagle Grove Public School. On January 28, 1925 she was united in marriage with Glen W. Baker at Eagle Grove. The couple farmed in the Eagle Grove area until 1954 when they retired and moved to a farm home south of Belmond, where they lived for four years and then moved to their present home in Eagle Grove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the church circle and was a long-time member of the Troy Culture Club.

She is survived by her husband, Glen, of Eagle Grove; her son and daughter-in-law, George and Bernadine Baker of Mason City; her sister and brother-in-law, Richard and Louise Knutson of Eagle Grove; her grandchildren, LuAnn, Mrs. Tom Wilcox of Spirit Lake; Kurt Baker of Stevens Point, Wisc.; Cheryl and David Baker of Mason City; a great-grandson, Nicholas Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. Tressie Watson and a brother, Norman Fisher.

Funeral services for Mrs. Glen W. Baker were held on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Charles Dutton officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
