Clifford Anderson was born January 15, 1913, the son of August and Julia Riste Anderson in Clarkfield, Mn. He worked for Baker Lumber Yard and Ingvoldstad Lumber Yard. He also worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and last for the Winneshiek CO-OP.

He was united in marriage to Lucille Johnson on March 12, 1937; at the Methodist Church in Decorah. He was a member of the Decorah Lutheran church.

Clifford Anderson died at the Rotary-Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove on May 10, 1993 at the age of 80 years, three months, and 25 days.

He was preceded in death, by his parents; two bothers, Ernest and Edward; and one grandson, Jason Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Carole (Mrs. Ron) Krambeer, of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Gerald and James of Cedar Rapids, and David of Eagle Grove; sisters, Irene Thompson of Decorah and Gladys Anderson of Keokuk; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 6 [13] at the Decorah Lutheran Church and burial was in the Union Prairie Cemetery in rural Decorah. The Rev. John Halvorson and Rev. James Glesne officiated.

The French & Balik Funeral Home of Decorah was in charge of arrangements.
