Louis Perdicaris died in the Veterans Hospital at Des Moines Monday afternoon at 1:15. He took several weeks treatment at the hospital early last winter and came home apparently much improved in health. Last week he returned to the hospital for an operation which failed to relieve his condition and he passed on to his reward.

Funeral Today

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Baptist church, with the Rev. J. G. Eaton and Paul Hammar in charge, assisted by World War veterans. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Perdicaris was a member of the Baptist church of this city and was deacon and financial secretary at the time of his death. He came to Eagle Grove from Chicago in 1915. He enlisted in the local machine gun company and was on the Mexican border 9 months and was overseas 18 months during the World War. He participated in five important battles, was gassed, but never wounded. He was a faithful employe of the Northwestern in the car shops here for nearly 20 years..

Obituary

Louis Perdicaris was born in Levkas, Greece, July 20, 1890. He came to this country in 1910, living in Chicago 4 years, where he was employed by the Pullman Car Co. He was united in marriage with Miss Anna Johnson of Pritchett, Texas, in 1920, and to this union were born four children, Lorraine. Lamar and Bobby Gene and Louis Jr., deceased. Besides his widow and three children there survive two brothers in this country, his mother, one brother and three sisters in Greece. His father preceded him in death several years ago.
