Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian church for Mrs. Arthur Cleveland, who died last Wednesday afternoon after a prolonged illness.

Mrs. Cleveland was devoted to her home and her family, a good and kind neighbor, who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Obituary

Emma Eda Klatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klatt, was born in Germany, Sept. 17, 1885. When but a small child she came to America with her parents and they settled near Eldora. On March 16, 1904, she was united in marriage to Arthur Cleveland. They immediately moved to a farm near Elmore, Minn., where they lived for six years, then coming to Wright county where they have since made their home.

To this union were born two daughters, Miss Winifred and Miss Blanche Cleveland both of Des Moines.

Mrs. Cleveland was a member of the German Lutheran church and since she has lived in Goldfield, a member of the United Presbyterian church. She was also a member of the Rebekah lodge.

She is survived by her husband and daughters above named, and five sisters and three brothers, namely: Mrs. Anna Livingston of Canada, Mrs. Minnie Seilosf of Buckeye, Mrs. Fred Frerecks [Frerichs] and Mrs. Clara Frerecks [Frerichs] of Elmore and Mrs. Gertrude Crippen of Eldora, Hugo, Frank Klatt of Elmore and Max Klatt of California.

Two brothers and four brothers-in-law were pall bearers at the funeral services, which were held Saturday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. McCracken. Burial was in the Glenwood cemetery and the Rebekah's gave the lodge burial service.

Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were: Hugo Klatt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klatt and son of Eldora, Mr. and Mrs. August Frericks [Frerichs], Mrs. Frank Crippen of Eldora, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Seilosf and daughter of Buckeye, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson of Steamboat Rock, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cleveland of Renwick.

Mrs. A. H. Cleveland of Goldfield Dead

Special to the Republican—
GOLDFIELD, Iowa — Mrs. A. H. Cleveland, forty-nine years old, died at her home in Goldfield on Thursday, February 28th, at four o'clock in the afternoon. Mrs. Cleveland underwent a serious operation last fall from which she never fully recovered. She had grown worse steadily during the past two months. Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. R. M. McCracken in charge. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Cleveland is survived by her husband, two daughters, five sisters and three brothers.
