April 14, 1815 ---- December 3, 1905

Died — At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Baker, of Eagle Grove, Ia., on December 3, 1905. Mrs. Springer died at the ripe old age of 94 years, 8 months. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Baker, of Eagle Grove, Ia., and Mrs. G. Langworthy, of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and three sons, Edson Miller, Zeri Miller, and Albert Miller, and a number of grandchildren. She was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Ia. Mrs. Springer was well known to the people of Davis and vicinity, having lived here for a great many years.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pells Springer was born in Pigeon Hills, Canada, April 14, 1815. She came with her family to Iowa many years ago and settled in Black Hawk county. After death of her husband, twenty-five years ago, she has made her home with her
daughter, Mrs. J. W. Baker, at which place she passed peacefully to her rest Sunday Dec. 3, 1905. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Baker and Mrs. George Langweather, [Langworthy] of Cedar Rapids. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren who remember her in much love and respect.

Mrs. Springer was an active member of the Methodist church in her active life and held to the faith and doctrine until she entered the Church Triumphant. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon Dec. 5th at the M. E. church in Eagle Grove conducted by the pastor. A large number of sympathizing friends followed the remains to their last resting place in the Rose Hill cemetery.
