Death Calls Mrs. Sophia Frederick

Mrs. Sophia Frederick, 85, pioneer resident of Eagle Grove, died at her home in this city on Tuesday. Burial will be from the Kubitschek & Kastler funeral home this Thursday afternoon at 1:30, with the Rev. Kilbourn in charge. Burial will be in the Belmond cemetery.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Fred and Walter who made their home with their mother here, Mrs. Bessie Black of Webster City, and Mrs. Susie Wendell of Clarion.

Obituary
Sophia Staga was born in Germany in 1848. While yet a child she came to this country with her parents who first settled In Illinois and moved to Belmond in 1870. She was united in marriage with John Frederick in 1878 and to this union seven children were born, three having preceded the mother in death and the four surviving mentioned
above. They farmed in Norway township for a number of years and moved to Eagle Grove in 1888. Mr. Frederick died in 1914 and was buried in the Belmond cemetery where Mrs. Frederick's remains will be laid away by the side of her husband this afternoon.
