July 7, 1893 --- March 6, 1953

William G. Forbes, 59, died March 6th in the Veterans hospital where he had been a patient for some time.

Mr. Forbes had been in poor health for three years. He was a former employee of the Chicago, Great Western R.R. and retired three years ago on account of his health.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, and the following children, John who is attending school in Davenport, Mrs. Chas. Keppers of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Marjorie Winge and Mrs.
Marilyn Parent of Long Beach, Calif., Bill, Lois Ann and Dick of this city. Also one sister Mrs. M. E. Wilson of Bakersfield, Calif., and two brothers Charles and Lewis Forbes of Casper, Wyo.

Mrs. Winge and Mrs. Parent were enroute to Des Moines by plane with the intention of visiting their father, but death had come before they reached there.

Funeral services were held Monday morning in Sacred Heart church in charge of Rev M. A. Mullan. Interment was in Calvary cemetery.
