September 29, 1839 --- April 16, 1916

Michael Dundon died Sunday at the family home in Eagle Grove at the age of 77 years. The deceased had been ailing for two years and his age added complications which caused his death.

Mr. Dundon was born in Limmerick [Limerick] county, Ireland. He came to America when a young man and settled upon a farm in Fremont township, this county, about forty years ago, where he resided until a few years ago, when the family removed to Eagle Grove.

The deceased is survived by his wife and several children. Miss Mary Dundon is a teacher in the primary department of the Webster City schools. Another daughter, Mrs. Anton Christenson, resides about eight miles southwest of this place, and still another, Mrs. Will Wehrheim, lives in Eagle Grove. There are four sons, Thomas, of North Dakota, Joseph, David and James, all of whom reside in this vicinity.

The funeral service was held in the Catholic church in Eagle Grove this morning at 9 o'clock and was attended by many friends from this place.

Michael Dundon was born in Ireland September 29th, 1839 and died at his home on South Eastern avenue, Sunday, April 16th. His death was due to old age, being 77 years of age.

Mr. Dundon was married to Mary O'Heran in 1869. They came to Eagle Grove from Webster City four years ago.

He is survived by his wife and seven children, Mrs. Wm. Wehrheim of Eagle Grove, Mrs. A. C. Christensen [Christenson] and Mary Dundon of Webster City, Jonathan, David and James Dundon of Eagle Grove, Thomas Dundon of Wahpeton, North Dakota.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the Sacred Heart church. Very Rev. Father Nolan conducting the services.

The interment was in Calvary cemetery.
