March 23, 1876 --- December 10, 1949

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock at Eagle Grove for Thomas Dundon, 73, former resident of Webster City, who died suddenly Saturday at his home in Eagle Grove. He had been in failing health for several years.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart church with burial being made at the Catholic cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Mr. Dundon was born in New York City and came to Iowa with his parents at an early age. He grew to young manhood in this community, later going to Wahpeton, N. D., where he was engaged in the wholesale grocery business. He was married and had one son, with both his wife and son preceding him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by one brother and three sisters: James Dundon, Mary Dundon and Mrs. William Wehrheim, all of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Andrew Christenson of this city.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 in Sacred Heart church for Thos. Dundon, 73, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon. Mr. Dundon had been in failing health for some time, but his sudden death was unexpected.

Rev. James Slowey officiated at the funeral mass, and interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Mr. Dundon is survived by one brother James, two sisters, Miss Mary Dundon and Mrs. Wm. Wehrheim of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Andrew Christenson of Webster City.

Born in New York, N. Y., March 23, 1876, he came to Iowa with his parents at an early age. The family lived in Hamilton county, and when a young man, Mr. Dundon went to Wahpeton, N. D., where he was engaged for 25 years as shipping clerk for the Beech-Gamble wholesale grocer firm. His wife and one son preceded him in death.

He moved to Eagle Grove about 5 years ago, to make his home with his sister and brother, Miss Mary Dundon and James Dundon.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Christenson, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Christenson, Dean Christenson, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wright, all of Webster City: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wehrheim and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smith of Clarion.
