James William Frambes
1 February 1880 ---– 22 July 1914

Jim Frambes died at his home near here last Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock. Jim had been ailing with that dread disease consumption for a number of years and until the last couple of weeks was not considered serious Death came quite suddenly while he was out in the yard.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, interment in the Eagle Grove cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved relatives and mother. This is
the second death in the family in a few short weeks.

James William Frambes was born in Macon county, Ill. Feb. 1, 1879, and died at his home near Holmes, Iowa, July 25, 1914, aged 35 years, 5 months and 24 days. He was a sufferer from tuberculosis for a number of years, but it was only three weeks ago that the illness began that resulted in his death.

At the age of 21 he removed with his parents to Wright county, which has since been his home, his occupation being that of a farmer, when his health would permit.

His surviving relatives are his mother, two sisters, Mrs. Irven Barber of Moweaqua, Ill., and Mrs. Aaron McGrath of this place, and two brothers, Charles of Enoxville, Ill., and John of St. Paul, Kan., all of whom were present at the funeral. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Van Metre, Tuesday afternoon on the lawn of the home and interment was in the Eagle Grove cemetery [Rose Hill]. Many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
