Russell Leon Dodge was born July 21, 1936, in rural Milford, Iowa, to Wayne and Hazel Suss Dodge. He graduated from Milford schools in 1954. He was united in marriage to Barbara McCutcheon on December 28, 1963. He farmed in the Eagle Grove - Goldfield, Iowa, area for many years.

Russell L. Dodge died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, at the age of 64.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Steven Dodge, and wife, Amy, Eagle Grove, and William Dodge, and wife, Kelly, Eagle Grove; two granddaughters; one grandson; two sisters, Joy Harris and husband, Herb, Sioux City, Iowa, and Valois McCabe, and husband, Don, Littleton, Colo.; one brother, Delbert Dodge, and wife, Marilyn, Dickens, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 30, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the Goldfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Karen Dearchs officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.
