October 8, 1891 --- August 31, 1956

Funeral services for George Donegan, 64, of Tucson, Ariz. were held here Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock in Sacred Heart church.

Mr. Donegan a former Eagle Grove resident died Aug. 31st in the Southern Pacific hospital in San Francisco, Calif. He had been ill about a month.

Rev. Maurice Mullan had charge of the funeral and burial was in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers were John Henneberry, Chester Hadden, Cecil Winans, Howard Martin, John Dinnie and John Vike.

Mr. Donegan is survived by one daughter Mrs. Woodrow Wilson of Warrenton, Ore., two sons Paul Donegan of El Paso, Tex and Garth Donegan of Tucson, Ariz., also two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ball of Kewanee, Ill., Mrs. Marie Adams of Chicago, Ill., two brothers John of Phoenix, Ariz. and James of Des Moines.

The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Donegan of Eagle Grove. He moved from Eagle Grove in 1922 and for many years was a conductor on the Southern Pacific Railroad at Tucson.

Out-of-town relatives and friends here for the services were Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, Warrenton, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Donegan, El Paso, Tex., Garth Donegan, Tucson, Ariz., John Donegan, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Ruth Ball, Kewanee, Ill., Mrs. Curt Halvorsen, Mankato, Minn., Mrs. Ella Downing, Elmore, Minn., Kenneth Williams, Marshalltown, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Moore, Renwick, Thomas Moore, Tucson, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Richardson, Elmore, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilson, Fairmont, Minn, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Loveoy of Des Moines.
