Mrs. Ida M. Anderson, 80, died on Sunday morning. July 27, 1980 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been in ill health for the past several years.

Funeral services were held from the United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Richard T. Hohl officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove and the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.

Bearers were; Richard Oxley, Claude Abrams, Roger Burras, Arden and Donald Berhow, Arthur Nelson, Russell Bergh and Duane Jordanger.

Born on a farm north of Clarion on October 27, 1899, she was the daughter of Andrew and Carrie Neilson Jordanger and grew to womanhood in the Kanawha area. She graduated from Kanawha High School and worked for the telephone office there. On February 19, 1919 she was married to Salmer M. Anderson and they farmed northwest of Clarion until moving to a farm southeast of Clarion in 1941. They retired to town in 1953 and he died in June of 1971.

She is survived by two children; Orval of Webster City and Mrs. Lawrence (Emma) Maxon of Clarion, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There are also six brothers and sisters; Clarence Jordanger of Kanawha, Ole Jordanger of Adams, Minn., Clifford Jordanger of Clarion, Mrs. Nellie Thompson and Mrs. Anna Nelson, both of Corwith and Mrs. Esther Swelland of California. Her parents, husband, a daughter, Adeline, and a grandson, Robert Anderson, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the United Methodist Church and Harriett Balloou Circle. She was a past member of the Clarion Rebekah Lodge.
