A Good Mother Called Home
Mrs. George Dinnie Passed Away Sunday Evening After Long Illness

Funeral Services Tuesday
Body Taken to Eagle Grove For Burial Beside Children. Left Family and Seven Children

The angel of death has been very active in Belle Plaine the last ten days, and again we are called upon to chronicle the passing of a highly respected citizen.

Mrs. Geo. Dinnie one of those grand, good, women and mothers, departed this life Sunday evening August 6th, at 8:45 at the family home on 6th avenue, following a long illness with complications of stomach trouble. Death was not unexpected and came as a relief to her who had so patiently born protracted suffering. The end came with her beloved family gathered about her.

Short funeral services were held by the Rev. Henry at the home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock and
on Wednesday morning the family accompanied the body to Eagle Grove where it was laid to rest beside that of her children who had preceded her in death.

Margaret Jane Powell was born in Hawley, Wayne county, Pennsylvania on November 1st, 1856 and
departed this life August 6, 1911. She was married to George Dinnie in Clinton, Iowa, on September 16, 1876, and this union was blessed with ten children, two of whom died in infancy and one at the age of seven years.

She is survived by her husband, seven children, Katherine, Agnes, George, John, Iona, Arthur and Ray, and her mother, Mrs. J. G. Powell-Clay, of Clinton.

Mrs. Dinnie was a kind and loving wife and mother, and a good friend and neighbor. Of quiet, retiring
disposition she found her greatest pleasure with her family and friends and it was to them her life was devoted. In countless ways she sought to make life easier and more enjoyable for those about her
and was always ready and willing to do a service. What greater tribute than to say, she was a good
wife, mother and friend, but --

Mother, thou art gone to rest,
Oh, sweet thy rest shall be;
At home in Heaven, with the blest -
Mother, our hearts shall long for thee.

Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our many friends who so kindly helped us bear our sorrow in our recent bereavement in the passing away of our beloved wife and mother.
