September 13, 1851 --- August 21, 1928

Mrs. Martha Christopherson was born in Fegring, Norway, Europe, Sept. 13, 1851, and died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Burass [Buraas], west of Eagle Grove, August 21, 1928, aged 76 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Mrs. Christopherhon [Christopherson] came to the United States of America to Onawa, Iowa, in 1876, where she was married to Martin Christopherson in November, 1877. To this union were born two children, Alfred Cornelius and Olga Emelia, both of whom survive. She is also survived by her husband and one grandson. She also leaves one sister at Blooming Prairie, Minn.

In 1891 the family moved to Thor, Iowa, and in 1917 they moved to Eagle Grove. In 1919 Mr. and Mrs. Christopherson went to live with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Buraas.

Her last illness was very brief.

Funeral services were held from the Buraas home Friday afternoon, August 24. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. H. C. Holm and Rev. T. J. Severtson conducted the funeral services.
