April 24, 1899 --- July 7, 1971

Alber Gustav Oldson was born April 24, 1899 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Nels and Mathilda Swenson Oldson. He was baptized into the triune faith on June 6, 1899 at Evangelical Lutheran Church. On Dec. 29, 1923 he renewed his baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation, Rev. T. J. Severtson officiating. He died on July 7 at Bethesda General Hospital in Fort Dodge after reaching the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 13 days.

Albert attended the Eagle Grove schools. He worked for Roper Hardware and Plumbing in Eagle Grove and for 25 years was associated with his brother Elmer in the Oldson Plumbing business. During World War II he worked in defense plants in the West. In 1948 he returned to Iowa and on September 2, 1949 he was united in marriage to Lenore Conaway of Eagle Grove.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.

Those who mourn his departure are his wife, Lenore two sons: James Oldson of Richland, Wash.; Bruce Oldson of Fort Dodge; two daughters: Mrs. Marjorie MacLaine of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Cindy Oldson of Fort Dodge; five brothers: William of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Elmer and Leonard of Eagle Grove; Martin of California; Emil of Champagne, Ill. and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 10, 1971 at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Rev. Walter E. Carlson officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
