September 7, 1895 --- February 9, 1971

Funeral services for Olaf B. Lee, 75, who died Tuesday evening, Feb. 9, at his home in Humboldt, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Thor Lutheran Church with Rev. Martin Ingebretson officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Mr. Lee was born Sept. 7, 1895, at Fister, Norway. He came to the United States as a young man farming in the Thor and Hardy area until approximately 10 years ago when he retired. He later moved to Humboldt where he made his home until his death.

He was married Jan. 15, 1938, to the former Lydia Johnson who died in 1955.

Survivors include one son, Thomas, Humboldt; three brothers and three sisters, Harry, Humboldt; Ira and Issac, both of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Bertha Oppedahl, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Thomas Rogness, Humboldt; and Mrs. Olianna Vinaas, Ottosen.

Former Thor man is buried here

Olaf B. Lee, 75, a former Thor resident, died last Tuesday at his home in Humboldt following a long illness. He was a brother of Ira and Isaac Lee and Mrs. Bertha Oppedahl of Eagle Grove. The latter two are residents of the Rotary Ann Home.

He is also survived by one son, Thomas of Humboldt, a brother, Harry of Humboldt, and two other sisters: Mrs. Thomas Rogness of Thor and Mrs. Olianna Vinaas of Ottosen.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Thor Lutheran Church and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
