Edmund Hilpipre, 82, Webster City
Edmund Hilpipre, 82, of Webster City, died April 17 at Hamilton County Public Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ — Congregational in Blairsburg with Rev. Dean Stille officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Edmund Hilpipre, son of August and Fanny Emmenderffor Hilpipre, was born March 4, 1913 on a farm east of Woolstock. He attended rural school in that area. On December 11, 1938 he married Gertrude Marie Kroll at Williams. The couple farmed in the Woolstock and Blairsburg areas, retiring in 1989. They then moved to Blairsburg. While farming, he also had a corn shelling business. After his wife died in July 1992, he moved to Crestview Manor in Webster City in July 1993.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Harold and Shirley Hilpipre of Hubbard; daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and David Miller of Webster City and Pal and Wendell Jacobson of Blairsburg;
eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters Elsie Story, Erma Stuhmer, Dorothy Lappin and Irene Barkema, all of Webster City; brothers Marcel Hilpipre of Webster City and Clarence Hilpipre of Woolstock; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
