BETTY CLEVELAND
Betty Bell Moon was born on October 1, 1922, at Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Dennis and Ruby Shaunce Moon. She attended school in Eagle Grove and graduated in 1940. She attended nurses training at Minneapolis, Minn., and Chicago, Ill. On March 3, 1946, she was united in marriage to Ralph Cleveland at Eagle Grove. She worked for the Eagle Grove schools for 19 years as a teachers aid. She moved to Clarion, Iowa, in 1994. She was a member of Royal Neighbors, a life member of the V. F. W., and a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.

Betty B. Cleveland died Sunday, December 24, 2000 at the U.S.A. Health Care Center in Clarion at the age of 78.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Cleveland, Clarion; three sons, Dennis and wife, Betty, Amarillo, Texas, Roger Cleveland, Minneapolis, Minn., and Dean and wife, Gina, Clarion; four grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; three great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Herbert Moon.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 27 , 2000, at 1:30 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with Reverend Chris Medina officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
