Mrs. Edwin R. Nelson, 74, died Sunday at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield with Rev. Frank Elliott officiating. Interment was in her family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, two sisters: Mrs. Joe Sebby of Clarion; Mrs. Robert Johnson of South St. Paul, Minn.; and two brothers: Morse Nielsen of Eagle Grove and Raymond Nielsen of Terra Haute, Ind.

Obituary

Luella Nielsen, daughter of Mary Christiansen and Hans P. Nielsen was born in Woolstock Township, Wright County, Iowa on July 18, 1897. Her early childhood was spent on the farm with her parents.

She attended the Eagle Grove Schools and later the Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. After graduation she taught school at the Evergreen and Woolstock Township schools.

On March 11, 1925 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Frank Christensen. They made their home in the Eagle Grove vicinity until his passing in 1958. In December of 1966 she married Edwin R. Nelson, at Goldfield, and they lived on the farm north of Eagle Grove until her passing which occurred very suddenly on July 16, 1972 at the Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge. She was 74 years, 11 months and 28 days at the time of her passing.

Luella was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters, and her first husband, Frank Christensen, who died in 1958.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Edwin R. Nelson, and two brothers: Morse Nielsen of Eagle Grove and Raymond Nielsen of Terra Haute, Indiana; two sisters: Mrs. Robert Johnson of South St. Paul, Minn, and Mrs. Joe Sebby of Clarion.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 19, at the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield, with Rev. Frank Elliott, officiating. Interment on her family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
