Anna Lavine (Larson) Gunderson (1876-1961)

August 4, 1876 --- June 17, 1961

Anna Lavine Gunderson was born August 4, 1876, to Knut and Karina Haldorson Larson in Humboldt county, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Norway Lutheran Church located west of Eagle Grove. She also attended public school in that community.

She was united in marriage to Gustav Gunderson on September 25, 1895, at Norway Lutheran Church. She died at her farm home west of Eagle Grove on June 17, 1961, after several years of failing health.

She is survived by five children, Albert Gunderson, Mrs. Agnes Miller, Harold Gunderson, Miss Gustie Gunderson and Mrs. Esther Kallem, all of Eagle Grove. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Thorson of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Martha Stockdale of Billings, Montana, one brother Alfred Larson of Eagle Grove, ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her, husband, Gustav, two brothers Lars, and Hans Larson, and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Gunderson had been a faithful member of Samuel Lutheran church: for many years.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 19th, 2:00 p. m. at Samuel Lutheran church. The Rev. Jordan T. Jacobsen and Rev. Robert L. Miller of St. Louis Park, Minn., officiating. Burial was held in Rose Hill cemetery.
