Sgt. Virgil L. Gray (1920-1944)

August 5, 1920 --- December 13, 1944

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday in the Kastler Funeral Home for Sgt. Virgil L. Gray.

Virgil was killed in the battle of the bulge in Belgium and his body has been in the Henri-Chapelle military cemetery in that country. His body was returned to this country on the same boat with Harris Damon and Wilford Wilson.

Rev. Walter Ross will conduct the memorial services and the Clarence Shurtz post of the American Legion will have charge of the military honors. Burial will be in the cemetery at Webster City.

Virgil was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Staffer Gray of this city. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Gerry Latch Gray. His body, accompanied by a military escort, will arrive in Eagle Grove this morning.
