Esther B. Engh died on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 89.

Survivors include two sons, Gary E. Engh, Homestead, Iowa, and Galen D. Engh, and wife, Sharon, Warrington, Pa.; two sisters, Lu Nepstad, Batavia, Ill., and Maxine Evans, Kanawha, Iowa; two sister-in-laws, Ruth Thompson, Richland Center, Wis., and Ruth Rojohn, McCormick, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olin, 1990; three brothers, Luverne, Silas, and Oren; and five sisters, Mamie, Newella, Mildred, Fern, and Clara.

Esther Beatrice Thompson, the daughter of Olaf and Caroline (Carrie Johnson) Thompson, was born on June 21, 1913, in Kanawha, on the Thompson home farm. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth. She was united in marriage to Olin G. Engh on December 19, 1937, at the Evangelical Lutheran Parsonage in Eagle Grove, Iowa. They made their home in Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1937, and was active in the Ruth Circle.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 7, at 1:30 p.m., at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Foust Funeral Home of' Eagle Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Lutheran Church Elevator Fund.
