July 5, 1879 – December 3, 1956

G. T. Elkin, 77 a retired farmer, died at his home, 913 South Commercial Ave., early Monday morning following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sacquety Chapel in charge of Rev. Dale Brown. Casket bearers were M. G. Trout, T. C. Bethell, Robert Cameron, Walter Trusty, Charles Loux and Gus Anderson. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Elkin is survived by his wife and ten children. Mrs. Everett Crystal, Webster City, Mrs. Richard Fox, Eagle Grove, Percy Elkin, Belmond; Mrs. Howard Rasmussen, Menahga, Minn., Mrs. Harry Werda, Carl Elkin, Webster City, Grigg and Don, Eagle Grove; Virgil of Blairsburg, and Elmer of Eagle Grove.

Other survivors are 33 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Joseph Spry, Gibson City, Ill. Mrs. Lillie Langley, Hendersville, N. C. and one half brother Willie Heisie, Palmer, Ky.
