Margarethe (Kragevik) Sandvik Eittreim (1843-1925)

March 5, 1843 --- September 23, 1925

Margarethe Kragevik was born in Hardanger, Norway, March 5, 1843, and died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. J. L. Brown, Faribault, Minn., Sept. 23 last, age 82 years, 6 months and 18 days.

She was married to John Sandvik and came to U. S. A. to Lee county, Illinois. To this union three children were born. One boy died in infancy; the daughter, Mrs. Ole K. Uhr, died in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Oct. 16, 1921. Mr. Sandvik died in Adams county, Wis., 1879. She then moved back to Lee county, Illinois.

She was married a second time to Christ Eittrem [Eittreim] at Lee, Ill. They have lived near Story City, Ellsworth and Eagle Grove, Iowa, and the last 28 years at Grantsburg, Wis.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Eittrem [Eittreim], who is unable on account of old age to be present. Also one son, Sam Sandvik, by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The body was brought here according to her own request to be buried by the side of her daughter, Mrs. Ole K. Uhr.

Funeral services ware held Saturday afternoon from the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Clyde Heighton, and from the East Side Lutheran church.
