Jennie Louise Twedt was born Oct. 3, 1894 at Haugensund, Norway, the daughter of John and Sina Temperwick Twedt. She was educated in Norway and came to the U.S. at the age of 18. She worked on the Lester Olson farm near Eagle Grove as a hired girl. She then worked in Des Moines until her marriage to Olaf Egesdal of Eagle Grove on Nov. 30, 1916, at the age of 23, and returned to Eagle Grove to make their home. In 1936 they moved to Algona where they farmed for five years, moving, to a farm near Eagle Grove in 1941. They moved into Eagle Grove in 1977, where they lived in an apartment until December 1983, moving to the Rotary Ann Home because of failing health.

Mrs. Egesdal died at the Rotary Ann Home Friday, Oct. 17, 1986, at the age of 92 years and 14 days.

She is survived by her husband, Olaf, sons: Oscar and Oliver of Eagle Grove, three daughters: Selma (Mrs. Donald) Davidson of Naples, Fla.; Margaret (Mrs. Pete) Bloudoff of Oroville, Calif., and Mrs. Delores Christopher, Eagle Grove; one brother John Twedt of Eagle Grove; three sisters, Selma Thomason of New Port Richey, Fla., Marie Stanley of New Port Richey, Fla., and Leah Ryah of Des Moines; also 14 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Theodore Egesdal, and four brothers, Lars, Johannes, Oliver and Olaf.

Mrs. Egesdal was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and ALCW.

Funeral services for Jennie Louise Egesdal were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 20, 1986 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, Rev. Paul Schaedig officiated arid burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
