Mrs. Mary Edwards, 80, died Sunday morning at the Rotary Ann home where she had lived for several months.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. Jordan Jacobsen, pastor of the Samuel Lutheran church in charge, due to the absence of Pastor Schiller who is on vacation. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband Charles, in 1947. Mrs. Edwards had been an invalid for 30 years, and after the death of her husband made her home with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Bell, now deceased.

Mrs. Ann [Anna] Mary Edwards was born Aug. 2 [12], 1884 to Nils and Serina Johnson at Boone. She was baptized in early infancy and on Nov. 13, 1893 was confirmed at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. She died at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove on Sunday, Aug. 16 having attained the age of 80 years and 4 days.

As a small child she moved to the Eagle Grove vicinity and has lived around here since. She was married to Charles Edwards who died in 1947. She had been an invalid for at least 25 years and following the death of her husband was cared for in the home of her sister and brother-in-law Tom and Emma Bell, until the death of her sister and was then a resident first in the Bludnik Nursing Home and later in the Rotary Ann Home.

There are no immediate family surviving, other than several cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug 18 at 2:00 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church, J. T. Jacobsen, pastor of Samuel Lutheran church in charge Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
