April 5, 1912 --- February 3, 1984

Funeral services for Mrs. Roy W. Crabtree were held from the chapel of the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion on Tuesday, February 7, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. Rev Richard T. Hohl officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Crabtree died on Friday at her home at the age of 71. She had been in failing health for the past year.

Mrs. Paul Loomis was the organist and casket bearers were. Raymond Thompson, Roger Sumners, Bill Post, James O. Jerde, Wallace Hagen and Dwight Tew.

Mary Ann was born on April 5, 1912 at Cloquet, Minnesota and was the daughter of Glee and Ruth Marie Edwards Parmenter. She was raised and received her early education in Missouri, Idaho and Iowa. She attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and then taught at Rolfe, Oelwein, Ft. Dodge and Humboldt. In August of 1939 she married Roy W. Crabtree at Dakota City, Nebr., His work took the couple to many areas of the country and they moved to Clarion in 1980 from Tyler, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter; Joy Gribbin of Sioux Falls, S.D., two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.

While living in Watertown, S.D. she was a member of the Episcopal Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
