24 August 1868 --- 25 March 1934

George Franklin Cline, son of John and Amelia Cline, was born at Maxwell, Iowa, August 24, 1868, and died at his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, March 25, 1934.

He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Ellen Kuhn April 14, 1897 and to this union two children were born, Ralf H. Cline of Burlington, N.C., and Mrs. Laurence Ransford of Mason City. The family moved from Emmetsburg, Iowa in December 1910, on a small farm east of Eagle Grove, later moving into town. He was employed with the C. & N. W. Railroad for several years. Mr. Cline had been in failing health for several months and passed away quite unexpectedly about 12:30 Sunday morning.

Mr. Cline united with the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove in about 1911. He was a good husband and father, a good citizen, honest, and upright in every respect.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and two children mentioned, and one granddaughter, two brothers, John Cline of La Junta, Colo., and James Cline of Elkhart, Iowa. Two sisters, Florence Shearer of Los Angeles, Calif., and Matilda Hamm of Bancroft, Wyo., and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held in the Wilson Funeral chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 3, Rev. J. G. Eaton in charge, after which burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
