Samuel H. Probert, 92, former longtime resident of Salem, Oregon died Nov. 6 in Portland, where he lived the past five years. He was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and graduated from University of Wisconsin. He lived in Salem 60 years, spending 46 years as a highway engineer for the State Highway Division. Survivors include wife, Minnie; daughter, Jeanne L. Hunt, Portland; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Private interment was at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem.
