September 7, 1893 --- December 27, 1922

Miss Esther Howell, daughter of Geo. E. Howell, of' Sterling, Ill., died at her home Wednesday morning at 12:30 o'clock. The remains were brought to Eagle Grove this morning, and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Howell on East Broadway. Funeral services will take place Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock at Sacred Heart church. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery, where the mother of the deceased is burled.

Miss Howell has been ill the greater part of her life, her last illness dating from early in the fall, when she went to Wisconsin to spend the hay fever season. While there she was taken ill with inflammatory rheumatism, from which she did not recover. She is survived by her father, G. E. Howell, one sister, Naomi, two brothers, George and Harold, all of Sterling, Ill.
