James R. Ellsworth died Sunday in the Forked River section of Lacey. He was 70. He was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and lived in Carteret and Wilkes-Barre, Pa., before moving to Forked River in 1997. He was a federal police officer with the National Security Agency in Baltimore, Md. He previously was vice president of Ellsworth Freight Lines for 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War n. Surviving are his wife, the former Theresa M. Collins; two daughters, Patricia Kolakowski of Carteret and Christine E. Csatari of South River; three brothers and three sisters, and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from Layton's Home For Funerals, 250 W. Lacey Road, Forked River, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Pius X R.C. Church, Forked River. Burial will be at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
