HARRISBURG, S.D. –Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church for Elmer Joseph Hill, 76, Harrisburg, who died Tuesday at a Canton hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Hill was born Aug.18, 1897, in Wright County, Iowa. He moved to South Dakota in 1920 and began farming in the Harrisburg area. In 1923 he married Etta Mae Schebal.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Wesley and James, both of Sioux Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Bailey Horner, Hudson; Mrs. Art Noordermeer, Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Craig Nickisch, Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; a brother in Eagle Grove, Iowa; six sisters, Mrs. Lottie Williams, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Mrs. Walter Thorme [Thorn], Mrs. Emma Johnson, Mrs. Edith Cox and Mrs. Ethel Johnson, all of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Fred Sadler, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and 15 grandchildren.
