December 20, 1869 –-- January 28, 1922

Clara Young was born at Cisco. Ill. Dec. 20, 1869, where she lived till 1901, when she moved to Eagle Grove.

At the age of 18 years she was united in marriage to Wm. J. Russell. To this union one child was born, Leora Russell. Mr. Russell died in 1910. On the 31st of December, 1913, she was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Cragg.

In her earlier life and up until a few years ago she was an active worker in the church. She was compelled to give up her church work because of sickness in the home and her own failing health. She has for years been a member of the Methodist church, and came into the Eagle Grove M. E. church by certificate on March 5, 1911. She was also a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Death came on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28, 1922, after a severe illness of two weeks. At the time of her departure she had attained the age of 52 years, 1 month and 8 days.

She leaves her husband and her daughter Leora Russell: three brothers, Jess Young and Lewis B. Kistler of Cisco, Ill., and A. L. Young of Rock Mound, Wis., also two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Paul of Nevada, Iowa, and Mrs. Jane Clow of Omaha, Neb., besides many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Services will be held in the Methodist church on Thursday at 2:30 in charge of the pastor, W. G. Muhleman, who will preach from the text found in John 14.2-3.

Interment will be made in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
