November 18, 1911 --- January 22, 1987

Myra Savage, 75, Salem, died at 5:10 a. m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at her home.

Mrs. Savage was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Eagle Grove to Adam and Mary Price Middleton. She married Donald Savage on June 1, 1936; he died in March 1968.

She was a former school teacher and a member of the Salem Congregational Church. She also raised Arabian horses.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Savage, Salem, and Mary Alice Savage, Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Tom, Muscatine, and Donald (Bob), Stillwater, Okla; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services for Mrs. Savage will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Salem Congregational Church, the Revs. William Strickland and Lynn Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Salem-East Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Diabetic Foundation.

SALEM, IA. –Myra Savage, 75, of Salem died of a heart attack Thursday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Salem Congregational Church. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery.

Mrs. Savage was born in Eagle Grove and lived most of her life in Salem. She was an Arabian horse breeder.

Survivors include two sons, Tom of Muscatine and Bob of Stillwater, Okla.; two daughters, Mary Savage of Anchorage, Alaska, and Margaret Savage of Salem; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. today at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
