December 25, 1879 - January 30, 1989

Lee Middleton, 91, Webster City, died Monday, Jan. 30, at Crestview Manor, where he had been a resident for two months. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, Rev. Ward Malloy officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery Eagle Grove, with graveside flag folding services conducted by American Legion Post 191. Visitation at Foster's is after 5 p.m. today until time of service Thursday.

Lee Worth Middleton, son of Jesse and Frances Allen Middleton, was born Dec. 25, 1879, on a farm near Eagle Grove. He received his education in Eagle Grove. During WWI, he served with the U.S. Navy. He married Georgia Hall on Oct. 12, 1920, in Eagle Grove. The couple resided in Eagle Grove, where Mr. Middleton operated a gasoline tank wagon in Woolstock, and also farmed near Eagle Grove. He was later employed by Enterline Produce in Webster City. He purchased the company and changed the name to Middleton Produce. The couple retired in 1954, and resided in Webster City and Mesa, Ariz. Mr. Middleton also operated, a vending service with Art Kelting for several years. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1971, and continued to reside in Webster City.

He is survived by a sister Frances Eppard, East St. Louis, Mo., and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
